Research & Policy
Research & Policy
Overview:
Sustainable peace depends on informed decision-making. In a region marked by rapid transformation, complex alliances, and new challenges — from digital economies to environmental change — the need for credible, data-driven research has never been greater. The Research & Policy Division of the Gulf Peace Foundation provides a platform where academic rigor meets practical policymaking. We believe that ideas only matter when they inspire action and accountability. Our mission is to generate independent, non-partisan research that illuminates the connections between peace, governance, development, and human rights. By translating knowledge into accessible policy tools, we aim to help decision-makers, journalists, and civil society actors design strategies grounded in evidence and empathy.
Our Work:
Our analysts and fellows conduct studies across a range of themes: political reform, economic diversification, social inclusion, regional diplomacy, and climate resilience. We publish annual peace reports, policy briefs, and impact assessments that inform both regional and international debates.
GPF’s Research & Policy work also bridges the academic and policy communities through:
Collaborative research partnerships with think tanks and universities worldwide. Policy innovation labs where young researchers co-develop solutions to governance and peace challenges. Confidential policy dialogues where findings are shared directly with policymakers in closed, trust-based settings. We see research not as an abstract exercise, but as a living instrument of change — one that guides regional leaders toward inclusive, sustainable, and transparent policies.
